Jonathan Lim

Advocate and Solicitor
Notary Public, Commissioner for Oaths

Civil and Commercial Litigation,
International Arbitration

Jonathan graduated from the National University of Singapore with LLB (Hons) in 1993 and was admitted as an advocate and solicitor in 1994.

In the early years of his career, he worked in the litigation departments of mid-sized firms (including WWP) where he experienced a broad spectrum of general litigation work.

In 1998, Jonathan joined international firm, Baker & McKenzie, where he was one of the pioneer members of its litigation team at a time when the firm was also developing its Building and Construction capability. This stint with the international firm not only provided him with the opportunity to handle high value and complex dispute resolution work with a multi-jurisdictional perspective but also the opportunity to venture in to building and construction related work. While with the firm, he was noted by The Asia Pacific Legal 500 (2002/2003 edition) as being “highlyregarded” in the area of dispute resolution.

On Jonathan’s return to WWP in 2003, he was seconded as corporate counsel to a Singapore public listed company for a year to support its expanding operations. Jonathan continues to practice in the broad areas of civil and commercial dispute resolution. At one end of the spectrum, his handles international arbitration work such as a recent one involving a dispute arising out of oil and gas exploration in Indonesia. At the other end, he acts for clients in matrimonial matters.
